There is just so much going on around us, in our own corners of our cities, that we don't notice or that has become normal to ignore, maybe? There's a lot of beauty in the world and you have to see that in order to have any sort of motivation to keep it or make it better. I love photographing my neighborhood, I don't want to be pushed out. I want it to be even better for all of us, for me, for you, for all of our neighbors."

This listing is for ORIGINAL artwork, meaning these are the actual polaroid lifts with the image layer taken from the polaroid, not a scanned print.

Polaroid Emulsion Process:
Lead Artist, Mel, creates all polaroid images using an instant camera, electric kettle, some hot water, a photo tray and paintbrush. Coaxing the image layer away from the plastic and chemical layers, the pieces are given a new life on a new surfaces, like high quality watercolor and printmaking papers.
